Find the CPV codes that describe your work.

Search the official Common Procurement Vocabulary by keyword or code. Use a broad category to explore, then check the more specific descriptions.

How to search CPV codes

Enter a service, product or eight-digit code. Try related keywords if the first search is too narrow. Select Copy code to use a result in your procurement searches.

How the CPV hierarchy works

The first two digits identify a broad division. More digits describe a narrower category. Use Broader and Explore narrower codes to find the descriptions that fit your work.

Use a code to find a notice. Then check the fit.

Codes classify purchases, not supplier eligibility. Buyers may choose broader or neighbouring categories, so combine codes with keywords and read the original notice. These results are classifications, not live tenders.
